Question about the water near Tampa Florida?

I am traveling to Tampa Florida w.my husband who just got a job there and I was wondering…..is the wonder around Tampa clear or is it still dark? I’m from the NC coastal area where the water is a DARK blue, and was just wondering what to expect.
